Images to PDF
Turn JPEG and PNG images into a PDF with selectable page size and order.
How to use
Choose one or more JPEG or PNG images. They appear in a list; use ↑ and ↓ to set the page order and × to remove one. Choose the page size and orientation, then Create PDF makes images.pdf with one page per image.
With A4 or US Letter, each image is scaled to fit inside a margin of 24 points (about 8.5 mm) and centred, without being stretched or cropped; small images are enlarged to fill the space and may look soft. Automatic orientation turns the page to landscape for images that are wider than they are tall; Portrait and Landscape force the same orientation for every page. Based on image size makes each page exactly as big as its image, with no margin, at 96 pixels per inch (leave orientation on Automatic; Portrait or Landscape swap the width and height of pages that do not match, leaving blank bands): a 1200 × 900 pixel photo becomes a page of about 31.8 × 23.8 cm.
JPEG photos are placed in the PDF byte for byte, so there is no second compression and no loss of quality. PNG images are stored with lossless compression, although 16-bit images are reduced to 8 bits per channel. With JPEG photos the PDF ends up about as large as the images together; PNG images, especially screenshots with few colours, can take several times more space; to make it smaller, resize or compress the images before converting them. Phone photos that are stored sideways with an orientation tag are placed the right way up.
Images can be up to 30 MB each and 80 MB together. Other formats, such as HEIC, WebP or GIF, are not accepted: convert them to JPEG or PNG first. The images are processed in your browser and are not uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Reading the images and creating the PDF happen locally on this device.
Why is the PDF so large?
Because the images are not compressed again: a PDF made from five 4 MB photos is about 20 MB. Resize the photos first if the file has to be small, for example to send by email.
Can I add an iPhone HEIC photo?
Not directly. Convert it with the HEIC to JPEG converter, then add the JPEG.
Is the text in a photographed document searchable?
No. The pages contain pictures, not text; making the text searchable needs OCR software.
